Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Age: 18 years as of January 1, 2025.
- Maximum Age: 35 years as of January 1, 2025. A 5-year relaxation is granted to local residents of Chhattisgarh until December 31, 2028. Other special categories will receive age relaxation as per rules, but the maximum age limit after all relaxations will not exceed 45 years.
- Educational Qualification:
- Diploma in Pharmacy registered with the Pharmacy Council.
- Valid registration with the Chhattisgarh Pharmacy Council (registration must be active on or before the last date of application).
- Domicile: Applicant must be a local resident of Chhattisgarh State.
- Certificates: All required certificates (educational, caste, registration, etc.) must be issued on or before the last date of application.
Selection Process
- Written Examination: A competitive examination will be conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam) for Pharmacist Grade-2 posts. Detailed syllabus, examination pattern, and application procedure will be available on the CG Vyapam website: vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in.
- Qualifying Marks: Unreserved category candidates must secure a minimum of 33% qualifying marks, and reserved category candidates must secure a minimum of 23% qualifying marks in the examination.
- Merit List: Based on the marks obtained in the CG Vyapam examination and district-wise reservation, a merit list will be prepared.
- Document Verification: Original certificates of selected candidates will be verified by the competent authority at the time of appointment. Candidature will be cancelled if any discrepancies are found.
- Police Verification & Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must undergo police verification (character verification) and submit a health fitness certificate from the District Medical Board.
- Probation Period: Appointments will be purely temporary and on a three-year probation period.
- Waiting List: The waiting list will be valid for one year from the date of declaration of the main selection list.
- Court Orders: Appointments are subject to the final order/decision in SLP (C) No. 19668/2022 filed in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, New Delhi. The number of vacancies may change based on the court’s final order.
